Famous for its rhododendrons, I have childhood pictures of me amidst the flowers in Heathfield gardens on Sunday walks with my family. There is also a walled garden - the ownership and use of Heathfield changes over time, but the gardens - with their mature trees and gently rolling landscape - remain a beautiful spot for a walk.
